Get to know Mrs. Crull

My name is Jenna Crull.  I feel blessed to be your child’s First Grade teacher this year. Just to share a little about myself, I graduated from Heidelberg University in Tiffin, Ohio in 2003. After graduating I accepted a title 1 math/reading intervention position in Tipp City, Ohio for a year. After leaving Tipp to pursue a full time position I worked as a seventh grade intervention specialist for two years before moving into a first grade position. I’ve taught first grade for seventeen years and taught kindergarten for one year.  I have also received my master’s degree in Teacher Leadership from Wright State University in 2008.

My husband John and I moved to Florida with our family from Ohio seven years ago. We have two children, Nicholas and Lillian. I love teaching first grade and excited to be back in the classroom. In my spare time I enjoy reading, cycling, cooking, and spending time with my family.

This is a year of important transitions and tremendous growth.  It is extremely important that we build on small successes.  Each child will progress at his/her own individual rate, acquiring skills as he/she is developmentally ready.  Monitoring each child’s self esteem and building a secure foundation for future growth will always remain a priority in my classroom.  Applauding every accomplishment, no matter how small it may seem will keep the enthusiasm for learning alive and growing!
